The Tamar Residence Inn is wonderful! The dooms are clean, fresh, and roomy. The location was safe, comfortable, and convenient in Jerusalem. The staff was very professional and helpful. I would highly recommend the inn. The best Inn I have found in Jerusalem at any price, though I have not stayed in the $400/night hotels. A great choice.

Great location, just what I needed in Jerusalem. Clean, good service. The suites are new and well planned with a lot of detail. I was upgraded to a Garen suiteand had a garden to sit outside. Just a short and perfect stay, highly recommended

I came for one night to a wedding in Jerusalem. The location is great and the free parking was amazing.. The service was excellent, it is a new suite hotel so they are doing their best. It was very well designed and enjoyed the choice of channels for the TV. An important thing was that the cost of calls to the UK were 10 pence a minute from my room which meant that I did not have to use my mobile which is expensive....

As it a new hotel the restaurant will only open in a month, but I crossed the road to a coffee shop.

This is a new suite hotel, well equipped. I had free WiFi and free parking which is important in Jerusalem. I had a lounge and a bedroom with two LCD"s and the most important I had cable TV and could see English football and Sky News. The kitchen was well equipped and could make me a coffee, toast and the fridge was a good size. Towels were also good quality and the design is modern and very clean.. Would stay again on my next trip

The staff were excellent, extremely helpful and understanding of our needs. They offered to do a supermarket shop for us, and had everything waiting for us when we arrived. They tailored the room they assigned us to our needs with a small baby, and gave us an unasked for discount when we requested a more expensive room with outside space. The room was perfect for our requirements, beautifully clean. When we had to leave early, their first concern was that it was a problem with the hotel-it wasn'T. I was prepared to pay for the whole time booked, as we left early with no notice for family reasons-they charged me only for the nights we stayed with no discussion at all. I was hugely impressed-there is nothing else like this in the area, and they really deserve to do well. The only slight problem for us was that the crib was in the living area, which meant when the baby was asleep we could not use it-but that has nothing to do with the quality of the accommodation. This is perfect for business travel, single people, couples, or anyone needing a place to stay, long or short term, who prefers some homestyle comfort rather than a hotel.

    Superb

I highly recommend the Tamar Residence for the following reasons: 1) Spacious, functional, good taste designed apartments. Properly cleaned once a day. 2) Convenient location. Quiet neighbourhood, a good “Grand Café” nearby. Just half an hour walking from the old city. 2) Friendly, professional, efficient staff. There is always someone at the reception. They recommended me a good guide and a good rent a car company. One well educated woman spoke good Russian; another woman, also well educated, good French; all of them, highly professional, also spoke good English. The Tamar Residence enhances the good image of Jerusalem and Israel.

    Very good

The staff were very helpful. Parking was free. The rooms were adequate for two people. Breakfast was very good.

Shower was very small. No safety deposit box in the room. Our room was very noisy because it was close to a major road and construction next door

The studio is modern and very comfortable. The double bed was perfect, including very handy reading lights. The furniture in the living room was fine after a long day walking in the city and since we were staying on the groundfloor, we even had a very spacious terrace with comfortable chairs and table. The bathroom was fine as well and equipped with a bath. Tamar Residence offers no breakfast, but in the first of its three buildings there is an excellent, trendy grand cafe. It offers superb breakfasts, lunches and dinners for very reasonable prices. Tamar Residence guests get a 10% discount in the grand cafe. On shabat the grand cafe is closed, but the Tamar staff had a very good tip. They recommended having dinner at the Colony, an also trendy and very pleasant restaurant, a 5 minutes walk down the road. Excellent food there as well, and a very nice atmosphere. Be sure to make reservations!

Very friendly staff, comfortable room in nice location. Parking available at the premises. Quite a new hotel with good facilities, well equipped kitchen for couple to stay for sometime in jerusalem

    Fabulous

    Very comfortable - WIFI access

Parking arrangement - somebody had to come and open electronic gate each time I went in or out. Something seemed to block 3G and mobile coverage (Celcom) on my cellphone. In the bedroom I had no coverage at all. However as the WIFI was working this wasnt a major pronlem. This wouldn't prevent me staing there at again.

Unprofessional staff, unacceptable treatment of customers by general manager, double charge for room that was not refunded in reasonalbe time

Friendly staff, great clean rooms with good kitchen, comfortable furniture, large windows. Good location, 10 minutes by taxi or 40 minutes walk to the Old City, a lovely quiet area with bright beautiful flowering trees and shrubs. The are many fruit shops, grocery stores and cafeterias near the hotel.

    Very good

Nice flat with kitchen, bathroom, sofa and bedroom located on the road to Bethlehem, about 10 min drive from Jaffa Gate and the old town. Very helpful staff who kindly contacted Booked.net to modify our reservation after our flight was cancelled and we knew we would arrive one day later, two plasma TVs, free wifi connection, Café around the corner serving nice breakfast as well as light lunch and dinner (pasta, sandwich, quiche, etc.). Tip: try the Colony restaurant (a ten minute walk on the main road) for a nice dinner. You even got a 10% discount if you say you are coming from the residence.

Flats are quite small (we had a family suite which was just big enough for the four of us). That's the only negative i can think of.
